On-Rev is a server-side scripting technology,
based on the LiveCode (formerly Revolution) language.
It operates in a similar style to PHP, allowing you to integrate script commands with standard HTML.
This is available to sites hosted on the On-Rev servers or on any server after installation of
LiveCode Server.
This site is constructed using On-Rev technology, so that I merely have to edit some text files in order to change the web pages.
Other changes are scripted automatically as required.
When I started learning how to use On-Rev in my web pages, I wrote a number of small scripts as tests.
These are now available as examples on this site.
You can see them in action, then examine the scripts to see how it was done.
All the scripts listed here are freely available to anyone who wants them.
I have not updated this site to the latest version of server engine, but all the examples still seem to work.
I do not use the On-Rev editor which has had no updates since just after the original release. I use Coda for Mac which is an editor with FTP & web page preview capabilities. There are a couple of Coda modes available which give syntax coloring. I am testing one by Viggo Danielsen which can be downloaded via the LiveCode forums.
If you have any problems with these scripts, please use the Contact link at the bottom of the page to let me know.
